Bee Cave Brewery Robust Porter

Tasting Notes:

The one ounce of roasted barley will add just a touch of some coffee flavor to the porter which will go nicely with it. This is a big beer, lots of body & kinda chewy yet tasty. Something you can nurse for a while and enjoy the full flavors of it.

Ingredients
Malt
  1. 1# Crystal 40
  2. 4 oz. Black Patent
  3. 1 oz. Roasted Barley
  4. 8 oz. Flaked Barley
  5. 11# 2 Row
  6. 1# Chocolate Malt
Hops
  1. 1 oz. Northern Brewer at 60 min.
  2. 0.5 oz Cascade at 60 min.
Yeast
  1. Nottingham

Steps
  1. Mash/Grains: Mash at 150 degrees for 60 minutes
  2. Boil: Bring wort to a boil for 60 minutes
  3. Boil: At 60 minutes add 1 oz. Northern Brewer hops AND 0.5 oz Cascade hops
  4. Boil: At 20 minutes add 8 oz. of Malto Dextrin to boil
  5. Fermentation: Ferment for 14 days
